PRL Junior Research Fellowship: Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad invites online applications from highly motivated and dynamic candidates for Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) at thr PRL. Eligible candidates should apply online through prl.res.in on or before 26th April 2024. The JRFs at PRL will be incentivized to pursue a Ph.D. at an Institute/University partnered with PRL through an MoU. PRL’s research fellows will follow the regulations set by the registering Institute/University as outlined in the MoU. Successful JRF candidates will commence their tenure at PRL in July 2024.

PRL Junior Research Fellowship Salary:
✔️ For Junior Research Fellows (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- pm.
✔️ For Senior Research Fellows (SRF): Rs. 42,000/- pm.
PRL Junior Research Fellowship Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degrees in science or engineering with at least 60% marks.
Candidates expecting their master’s degree by August 2024 are also eligible to apply, subject to having secured at least a first-class (60%) or equivalent grade(s) up to the last semester.
✔️ Candidates from disciplines of any branch of Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Physics, Photonics, Space Physics, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Oceanography, Meteorology, Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science and Remote Sensing are eligible to apply.
✔️ Candidates interested in pursuing a research career in the current research areas at PRL.
Applicants must have qualified in any one of the following exams not before 2022: CSIT UGC NET / GATE / JESTUGC-NET JRF/AP.
PRL Junior Research Fellowship Selection Process:
✔️ Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview.
The candidate’s interview based on the academic qualification(s) and basic knowledge in physics, mathematics, & chemistry and not on research interest opted to pursue research in PRL.

Interested candidates applying to the PRL’s JRF program 2024 must complete the submission of the online application form through prl.res.in. A valid e-mail ID and mobile number are mandatory for registration. The e-mail ID should be kept active until the end of the admission process. The status of successful registration will be sent to the registered e-mail ID. The candidate’s interview will be based on the academic qualifications and basic knowledge in physics, mathematics, and chemistry, and not on the research interest opted to pursue research in PRL. The last date for submission of online applications is 26/04/2024 until 23:59 Hours IST.
