The expensive jewelry that the actors wore in the film was rented. The early 20th century cars, carriages, sleds, and skates were all custom-built to ensure the film remained consistent with the time in which it was portrayed. Scenes shot for the film were installed in Great Neva, while the rented jewelry was kept under guard at all times.
