Who is Namor in the Marvel Comics?
In the Marvel comics, Namor and his underwater kingdom of Atlantis are mostly villains, often seen fighting Wakanda. Namor is the son of an Atlantean princess and a human, making him a hybrid Atlantean mutant. In the comics, Namor is usually portrayed as a villain, but in recent years he has become an anti-hero trying to protect the sea and his kingdom.
Universal Studios is trying to get a Namor solo feature. However, Kevin Feige has confirmed that the rights to Namor are now with Marvel. As with the Hulk, who cannot have a solo movie but can be a supporting character, the same rules now apply to Namor.
