MouseZoom is a small Cocoa prefener window Software that allows you to set your mouse selection (mouse speed) at prices larger than the preferences panel provided by Apple.
MouseZoom is not a “kernel extension” or driver and is safe to use. MouseZoom does not change the ‘curve’ of the mouse, only the scale. Note that MouseZoom does not work with USB Overdrive.
Get the exact position and color value of any pixel on your screen
If you’re looking for a quick way to find the RGB value for color on your screen, MouseZoom will give you the exact amount of any pixel you point at.
This mini 51KB program does not need to be installed, so you can save it to a portable drive if you want. It has a small window, with zoomed view wherever your mouse points. Zoom can be set to anywhere from 2x to 50x when facing high resolution images. Once you have found the point you need, clicking will stop MouseZoom, so you can see the RGB value. You can also see the hexadecimal color values if you choose.
This is a very old system, and while it works well, it is not very attractive. This is calculated by its small size. It will not affect your processor in the slightest. It’s a shame you can’t copy / paste RGB or hexadecimal values to the clipboard, but otherwise it’s hard to see what’s missing.
For anyone who needs to color in a match, MouseZoom is a quick and easy way to find the right shade.
