Eastern Railway Scouts and Guides Quota 2023: Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Eastern Railway, Kolkata invites applications in the prescribed format for recruitment against Scouts and Guides Quota of Eastern Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) and Metro Railway for the Year 2023-24. The last date for submission of online applications is 10th November 2023. The candidates having no Scouting and Guides qualifications need not to apply.
Note: Eastern Railway Notification and filling up of online application for recruitment against cultural, scouts and guides and sports quota is deferred till further notice.

✅ Age Limit:
✔️ For Group ‘C’: 18 to 30 Years
✔️ For Erstwhile Group ‘D’: 18 to 33 Years
✅ Pay Scale:
✔️ For Group ‘C’: Level in CPC 2, GP ₹ 1900/-
✔️ For Erstwhile Group ‘D’: Level in CPC 2, GP ₹ 1800/-
✅ Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Group C: 12th (Matric with +2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen & for the candidate of any category possessing higher Qualification.
Erstwhile Group D: Passed Class 10th or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT/ SCVT.
✅ Scouting/ Guiding Qualification:
(1) President’s Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
(2) Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organisation for the least 5 years. The “Certificate of Activeness” (and)
(3) Should have attended two events at National level or All Indian Railways’ level and two events at State level.
✅ Selection Process:
✔️ Written Test (60 Marks)
✔️ Marks on certificates (40 Marks)
✅ Examination Fee: A non-refundable fee of ₹ 400/- only for General (UR) Category Candidates. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, PWD, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes ₹ 250/- only with a provision for refunding the same to those who actually appear in the written examination. The Exam fee should be paid online using Internet Banking or Debit Card or Credit Card (Service Charges for payment of fees will be borne by the candidates).
