One Year Training: Electrician – 40, Electroplater – 01, Fitter – 50, Foundry Man – 01, Mechanic (Diesel) – 35, Instrument Mechanic – 07, Machinist – 13, MMTM – 13, Painter (G) – 09, Pattern Maker – 02, Pipe Fitter – 13, Electronics Mechanic – 26, Mechanic Ref. & AC – 07, Sheet Metal Worker – 03, Shipwright (Wood) – 18, Tailor (G) – 03, Welder (G&E) – 20, Mason (BC) – 08, I&CTSM – 03, Shipwright (Steel) – 16.
Two Year Training:Rigger – 12, Forger and Heat Treater – 01.
✅ Age Limit:
✔️ Minimum Age 14 years.
✔️ There shall be no upper age restriction for apprenticeship training as per Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
✅ Stipend:
✔️ Rs. 7000/- per month for ITI Passed.
✔️ Rs. 6000/- per month for Fresher.
✔️ During the 2nd year of training – With 10% Increase.
✅ Physical Standards:
Height – 150 Cm, Weight – not less than 45 Kg, Chest expansion – not less than 5 cm, Eye sight 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), external and internal organs to be normal.
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
(1) For Non ITI Trades: 8th Standard Pass for Rigger Post and SSC/ Matric / X Std. Pass for Forger Heat Treater posts.
(2) For ITI Trades: ITI examination passed (Provisional National trade certificate acceptable) in relevant trade with aggregate of 65% Marks.
✅ Selection Process:
✔️ Shortlisting of candidates for the Written Examination would be made trade wise as per extant policies.
✅ Scheme of Written Examination:
The Written Exam will be OMR based and will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions (General Science – 25, Mathematics (Numerical Aptitude) – 35, General Awareness (Common for all trades) – 30). There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Duration of the written exam will be 02 hours.

➢ To apply, eligible candidates must utilize the Naval Dockyard Mumbai Apprentice Portal (registration.ind.in) starting from April 23, 2024.
Procedure: Step 1: Initiate registration online to obtain a Login ID and Password. Step 2: Access the portal using the Login ID and Password created in Step 1. Step 3: Complete the comprehensive Application Form, ensuring all necessary documents, including a photograph and signature, are uploaded, then submit the Application.
➢ It is mandatory for candidates to upload clear and legible documents (such as Passport size photograph, ITI Marks, SSC/Matric/Community Certificate, etc.).
